The referral coordinator is primarily responsible for pre-screening and contacting referred patients for ongoing clinical trials to ensure patients are fully informed of any treatment options available for their disease. Day-to-day activities may include all or some of the essential functions listed below, depending upon individual experience / knowledge and the needs of the organization which are subject to change from time to time.
Duties
● Train new hired staff for the Recruitment department and also assist with training all research staff ophthalmology
● Proficiently interpret diagnostic imaging
● Ability to map out lesion sizes using diagnostic equipment
● Assist as needed in helping train other RCA sites on subject recruitment.
● Arrange monthly one on one meeting with staff on regular basis to help improve performance /
customer service and achieve recruiting goals
● Oversee day to day operations of the Recruitment department and help improve team performance, if in Supervisory role
